How we live is
the practice.
Pilates, breath, and quiet attention, in a small home studio in Mount Rainier, Maryland.
Come practiceThe Practice
This isn’t a workout to get through. It’s time to move, breathe, and pay attention — and to let the practice meet you where you are. Sessions are one-on-one or in very small groups, in English or Spanish.
- Equipment practice
- Reformer, tower, and chair. Strength and length through the classical Pilates principles of breath, concentration, control, centering, precision, and flow.
- Movement & breath
- Mat work woven with yoga and diaphragmatic breathing. Slow enough to notice, deep enough to change something.
- Sit and breathe
- A simple sitting practice, offered by donation. No experience needed.
- Life practice
- Coaching, held lightly. I’m not above you or below you; I’m an environment. People don’t need more advice — they need room.
Start with a free 30-minute session — for every body.
I also teach reformer and tower classes at Vida studios in DC and Reston.
No beginning, no end — just be where you are.

The Space
The studio is a room in my home: a reformer with tower, a chair, plants, good light. It holds a few people at most, so every session stays personal. Quiet street, easy parking, just over the DC line.

About
I came to this work the long way around: philosophy, the Peace Corps in Guatemala, twenty-five years in data and consulting, an Ironman in Nice, a bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Somewhere along the way, chasing finish lines stopped making sense.
A Lama I studied with years ago, a month of practice in Nepal, and slow mornings walking my dog taught me more than the medals did. Now I teach what I practice: moving well, breathing well, and making room for what’s already here. I’m a certified Pilates instructor and 500-hour yoga teacher, and I teach in English and Spanish.
Like the body remembered something it already knew.
